How do you define leadership?
The phrase “leadership is” yields over 500 million search results. This indicates there is a pretty big interest in trying to define leadership, and hopefully, in learning to become a better leader. Good!
Plenty of textbook definitions exist for leadership – however I want to hear from YOU!
How would you finish the phrase:
Leadership is…
As I’m big on quotes – I would finish it something like this:
“Leadership is… the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.”
– Dwight Eisenhower
Thanks for the words of wisdom Ike. To me, a huge part of leadership is the ability to inspire others. Leaders can’t lead without followers.
